Initially, I didn't think I needed this. Well, effectively you do not need it - but it has two things going for it: 1) the answers to the exercises are in it, and 2) extra practice exercises are contained in it. Every learner is different but for me I find that more practice using the things learned as much as possible reinforces it all. This handbook companion to Kelley's grammar provides some of that.Just so you know, this is NOT the actual grammar but requires the actual grammar in order to be useful at ALL. So check out the grammar, get that and get this. Get both. You won't regret it. Kelley's is thorough but comfortably paced while remaining accessible AND challenging at the same time. It's a contemporary grammar and well designed. Get this and the grammar.
This was the text I used to learn Hebrew in seminary. It is a solid text that gets you into reading Biblical Hebrew very quickly. That is one of its greatest strengths.Organized in 31 chapters, at times, this grammar may seem unfriendly to the novice user, but after having used this text for some time, it is easily one of my favorite Hebrew texts. It takes a thorough approach and gives a multitude of Biblical examples to illustrate grammatical principles.This text is somewhat heavy on vocabulary as compared to other Hebrew grammars. Quite often students become bogged down later in their studies of Biblical Hebrew with grammar and let their vocabulary slip. For this reason I highly suggest using Biblical Hebrew: Vocabulary Made Easy! in conjunction with this grammar. By doing so the student can easily work ahead in vocabulary and focus on the grammar of Hebrew.
Presents the necessary tools for reading and understanding Biblical Hebrew. The organization of the information could be improved to facilitate future retrieval by the student trying to find specific information. The reference tables, though very helpful, could be more inclusive of different verbal forms.
Excellent reference book for basic Biblical Hebrew studies. Author clearly presents the information. Good review for those already acquainted with the subject.
A wonderful book for anyone interested in Hebrew. it's great for someone trying to teach themselves or as a review for the more advanced student.

Great opportunity to learn and study the Hebrew language. Also purchased the workbook with it for helpful implementation of what I’ve learned.
