Bought this as a gift for my girlfriend who loves both crafts and gnomes. Although im sure she'll like it, i thumbed through the pages and was very disappointed. Most of the crafts are just variations of the same doll made with different materials. The pictures of the finished products make the projects look rough and cheap. Many are, in my opinion, quite ugly. Not necessarily something you'd be proud to display after the craft is finished.

Classic gnome craft book. I look at this often for ideas on more modern methods of working with felt and natural materials/fibers.
There wasn't a very big variety of crafts here. They were pretty much all the same. I was looking for gnome crafts that children could do. Didn't work for me.
The book is great. Now the question is ......will I do the projects. I hope to track down the needed materials.
The designs in this book are easy to follow, and fun to make. Great pictures, nice format, and inspiring ideas for the beginning to expert crafter. Also recommended is "Feltcraft", which displays a wide array of other felt toys and crafts.I am totally satisfied with this purchase.
This book is an inspiration. I just love making these Waldorf dolls and the instructions in this book are very simple and easy to follow.
This would be a terrific book for a grandmother or older sister to use with little kids, particularly if the kids like stories about elves or gnomes.The book has instructions and patterns for a variety of gnomes in several different sizes and styles. Most are made of felt with the addition of nuts, beads, pipecleaners and other easily found craft supplies.Many of the projects could be completed by a 6-7 year old with some help from an adult or teen. Younger kids could help by finding feathers, nuts, seeds, etc to be used to trim the gnomes somebody else makes.This book will enable Children to produce really nice projects to use for decorations or gifts. Turn off the TV and the computer and spend an evening making gnomes. You will find that it is truely magic!
