Bought this for my my grandsons who are very young and have lost two great great grandparents and two great grandparents the past couple years. I wanted to be able to explain in a sweet way they had passed and where they may have gone, without raising too many questions. This book is wonderful. Such a sweet way to explain to children how to remember a loved one. I would recommend highly this book.
My father passed away and my sons were so close to him. This was a great book to help them process the events.

I loved this book. It’s a really lovely happy story for a young child who has had to deal with someone passing away. Will really help make them feel better about it all. I know a 5 year old and a 8 year old who loved, it but it’s probably pretty ok for most ages. Would def recommend.

I sadly have a number of children's books on the subject of bereavement - trying to explain my father's demise to my kids. This one is particularly good in that it incorporates many different ideas that you can pick from and tailor to suit your particular situation - a special momento, a special place. Lovely illustrations and a very gentle tone. Has enabled a lot of very varied conversations with my 6 year old daughter about how she feels about our loss. Highly recommend.
