An easy butter-fly effect alternate history that goes beyond the obvious and makes you think about the role of sports in society (e.g. Nixon's obsession with the NFL, Olympics as proxy war, the trajectory of women's pro sports). Especially recommended for the type of folks who enjoy ESPN's 30-for-30 approach to sports - a balance of appreciation, intellect and whimsy.
An interesting compilation of sports-related hypotheticals. Some of the topics work better than others, though. And some of the essays are just downright confusing.
I was expecting more truths, than fantasized stories. Some were interesting, most were not. I was sadly disappointed. On to another boom.
